On Guard protective blend, with orange, cinnamon and clove

What it does

On Guard is doTERRA's protective blend: a warm, spicy mix of Wild Orange, Clove, Cinnamon Bark, Eucalyptus and Rosemary. It's the scent many people instantly link with coming home and with the colder season, with that moment you close the door behind you and it's grim outside.

Clove and cinnamon have been used for centuries to purify spaces and bring warmth. There's a reason people once studded an orange with cloves and hung it in the house. In your diffuser, On Guard fills your whole home with that warm, spicy atmosphere, especially welcome in the months when everyone's indoors and close together.

You can also make a lovely natural cleaner with it: a few drops with water in a spray bottle, and you wipe down your worktop with a scent that leaves your home fresh and warm. And the feeling: On Guard is the oil you reach for when you want to surround yourself with something purifying and protective, like a warm coat for your home.

Why it suits the colder season

When it turns colder, everyone's indoors more, closer together, windows shut. That's exactly when a diffuser with On Guard is lovely: it keeps the atmosphere at home warm and fresh rather than stuffy.

Why this one

CPTG-tested for purity

Every batch independently tested. Pure oil, exactly what's on the label and nothing else.

Five oils, one signature

Wild Orange, Clove, Cinnamon, Eucalyptus and Rosemary, carefully balanced into that unmistakable warm scent.

Versatile around the home

In your diffuser for atmosphere, or diluted in a spray bottle as a natural cleaner. One bottle, many moments.

A little goes a long way

Strong and concentrated, so you only need a few drops. A bottle lasts a long time.

How to use On Guard

1.Aromatic: 3-4 drops in your diffuser, especially lovely in the colder season or when you've a houseful of guests.
2.Natural cleaner: a few drops with water in a spray bottle for worktops and surfaces.
3.On the skin: well diluted with a carrier oil (1 drop to 10 ml), for example on the chest or the soles of the feet. On Guard is strong and spicy, so keep it to a little.
4.Please note: this is the essential-oil blend for aromatic and diluted topical use, not for ingestion.

Wereldkaart met de herkomst van de doTERRA-oliΓ«n
Frankincense 🌍 Somalia Β· Oman Β· Ethiopia doTERRA's frankincense is a blend of several Boswellia species from Somalia, Oman and Ethiopia. Harvesters make careful cuts in the bark; the resin crystallises over a few days into beads, the tree's 'tears'. Every supply chain is audited against the FairWild standard. View Frankincense → Wild Orange 🌍 Brazil Sourced from hundreds of small farmers in southern Brazil, where the climate is ideal for citrus. The oil is cold-pressed from the peel; it takes around 154 oranges for one 15 ml bottle. View Wild Orange → Ylang Ylang 🌍 Madagascar Β· Nosy Be From growers on the island of Nosy Be, off Madagascar's north-west coast. The star-shaped flowers are hand-picked and distilled within 24 hours, so the rich, sweet aroma is preserved. View Ylang Ylang → Cedarwood 🌍 United States From the south-eastern USA, from Juniperus virginiana. A lovely detail: doTERRA distils the oil from sawdust and offcuts left over from timber processing, giving waste a second life. View Cedarwood → Magnolia Touch 🌍 Southern China The magnolia oil comes from southern China, from the white champaca. The delicate blossoms are hand-picked early morning or late evening and steam-distilled. View Magnolia Touch → Shinrin-Yoku 🌍 Japan (Hinoki) A blend with no single origin: oils from around the world come together. Its heart is Japanese, with the signature note Hinoki, the cypress of Japanese temples, inspired by shinrin-yoku, forest bathing. View Shinrin-Yoku → Peppermint 🌍 USA Β· India Sourced in the Pacific Northwest of the USA, from a family farm spanning generations, and in northern India (Uttar Pradesh). The steady, wet climate gives a high menthol content. View Peppermint → PastTense 🌍 Nepal A blend of several oils. Its most remarkable sourcing story sits in the wintergreen: wild-harvested in the mountains of rural Nepal, naturally rich in methyl salicylate. View PastTense → Deep Blue Stick 🌍 Nepal Built on the Deep Blue blend. Its main component, wintergreen, is wild-harvested in rural Nepal, where women climb the steep mountain slopes and communities manage their forest areas together. Fractionation leaves only the light, liquid part: colourless, odourless and miscible with any essential oil. View Fractionated Coconut Oil →
