Amanda · the strategist

A system for everything. Except for letting go, and she is working on that.

Amanda in action.

Amanda builds with systems: for placement, for follow-up, there is a scheme for everything, and her structure makes her team scalable. But flexibility is her struggle: when the plan tilts, she doesn't tilt along by herself. And she wants to do too much herself, because doing it herself is faster and flawless. Her danger has a name, and the name is burnout. If you have ever finished one more thing at eleven at night, you will recognise her.

Human Design: Manifestor

As a Manifestor, Amanda initiates: she puts things down before anyone else has thought of them, and she informs rather than negotiates. Her energy comes in powerful bursts, with a genuine need for rest afterwards. That is exactly where her risk sits: whoever lets every burst run until nothing is left, pays in emptiness. Her plan is only finished when the rest is written into it.

Amanda's top five

Strategic
she sees three steps ahead, and every detour.
Discipline
rhythm and order; her calendar is always right.
Analytical
she wants the why behind every number.
Focus
one goal at a time, and she reaches it.
Achiever
every day wants finishing; rest quickly feels undeserved.

Curious about your own top five? The official test is CliftonStrengths by Gallup. The company built its own programme on it, Empowered You, with a free Strengths Guide for Builders (PDF) and a training page that translates your talents into the building itself.

The challenge

Handing over. A perfect scheme in which nobody feels seen runs empty; a good scheme in which others may work grows without her. Her lesson from the book: people come before the system, and rest is written into the plan, not after it.

Where Amanda helps you in the book

Structure and placement, the focus map, and the Gold and Platinum chapters, where structure and letting go meet. In Grōw, Amanda walks the whole book with you, from the first invitation to the highest rank.

Do you recognise yourself?

Do you make lists of your lists? Do you prefer doing it yourself because then it gets done right? Then you build like Amanda, and her lesson is yours: your system only becomes strength when others are allowed to work in it.

Doris, Amanda, Jenny and Tom don't exist as four people with an address. They are built from the many builders Tanja worked with over twelve years; everything they experience really happened, just not all to the same person.
