What it does
doTERRA calls Citrus Bliss an Invigorating Blend, and it's the purest citrus blend in the whole range: seven cold-pressed peel oils, from orange, lemon, grapefruit, mandarin, bergamot, tangerine and clementine, rounded off with a touch of vanilla extract. No herbs, no wood, no florals. Just citrus, from seven angles at once.
Peel oil is cold-pressed rather than distilled, which is exactly why citrus scents smell so clear and direct: the volatile compounds in the peel stay intact.
In the kitchen, this is the scent you reach for once a cooking smell has lingered, or once you've wiped down the counter and want to finish the job. A few drops in the diffuser, and the kitchen smells fresh again.
Cold-pressed citrus peel naturally contains furocoumarins. These compounds temporarily make skin more sensitive to UV light, so after topical use it's best to stay out of strong sunlight.
