After 25 years of experience as a nurse, health scientist and holistic health coach, and my own path from burnout to vitality, I know one thing for sure: health is no accident. It happens when you know what your body needs, make a plan that fits YOU, and actually follow that plan.
Sounds simple? It is. But simple is not the same as easy.
GOOD. stands for five pillars:
G – Glucose conscious living That energy dip at 3 PM? No accident. That uncontrollable craving for sweets? Not a character flaw. Your blood sugar is the director of your energy, your mood, your focus and your cravings. Once you understand how glucose works, you understand why some days feel like quicksand and others like wings. You may think: but I eat healthy, right? I thought so too. And yet I gained weight, had too little energy and nutrient deficiencies. Measuring is knowing – that’s where it starts. Becoming aware of what goes in and what comes out, and creating a healthy balance.
O – Optimal movement Forget the gym. OK, don’t forget it, but you don’t have to run marathons. Movement is in the small moments: tooth-brushing squats, coffee-making stretches, parking-further-away walks. Every movement is pure self-love in action. This is where it starts – a mindset shift that makes you do your daily things differently. And suddenly more movement is something you find normal, something you enjoy. And then you’ll like the gym (again) too!
O – Support with natural products Your body is not a machine that runs on randomness. It is a wonderful system that needs the right building blocks. Food that truly feeds your cells. Supplements your body can actually use. Essential oils that support you when you need it. This is not unnecessary luxury – this is self-love in action. You give yourself a tailwind. And yes, you are allowed to. You are allowed to ask for help. You are allowed to take shortcuts. You are allowed to invest in things that make life lighter. Can you do it without? Of course. But why would you? Not because you can’t do it alone, but because you don’t have to do it alone.
D – Deep emotional balance You can drink the healthiest smoothie and move every day, but if you’re constantly in stress mode inside, your body never gets to rest. Emotional balance is not a luxury, it’s the foundation. And yes, you may ask for help with that. As far as I’m concerned, this is also the goal every adult could strive towards: learning to experience your emotions as guides, and not letting yourself get swept up in other people’s energy. Staying authentically yourself in every situation. Then you are in balance, you stay calm, you stand strong in your shoes – and that makes you irresistible.
• – Conscious manifestation That dot behind GOOD is not just a punctuation mark. It symbolises the turning point in your life. The moment when you decide to put a full stop behind old patterns and consciously choose yourself. It is the start of being aware of yourself, in the here and now. And also the realisation that you hold the steering wheel for where you want to go in your life. Oh, did you think your life path was already fixed? Think again! Yes, this is also about manifestation, becoming aware of what you really want and consciously pursuing your goals.
Why GOOD.?
I was that nurse helping others heal, while my own body was in revolt. Eczema, allergies, chronic fatigue. The irony was not lost on me.
So I did what every rational scientist would do: I went and learned EVERYTHING. From a study in bioenergetics to family constellations, from health science to aromatherapy. Not to hang another diploma on the wall, but because I understood that health is not isolated islands. Everything is connected.
