A few years ago I was successful on paper, but completely burned out in de praktijk.
My health business was flourishing.

But me?
I was tired, heavier than I wanted to be, sleeping badly, and had completely given myself away.
Giving everything, setting no boundaries, running until your body can’t take it anymore.
As a holistic health expert with 25 years of experience I knew all the science. But between theory and daily life sits your own behavioural pattern. And mine was simply unhealthy.
Then came the transition. Those hormonal changes that force you to honestly look at how you manage your energy. Suddenly my body couldn’t keep up with the pace anymore. I looked at my calendar: everyone had space. Clients, children, family, friends. But me? Nergens te vinden.
When I divorced and bought our family home – the house where I now live with my two neurodivergent teenagers – I knew: now things must change. Not tomorrow, not next year. Now. I didn’t just want a healthy body, but a whole life where I’m not constantly balancing on the edge of burnout. A life with space for myself.
The result? I’m slim and energetic, with a sleep score that consistently sits above 90%. I live in a healthy relationship where I don’t erase myself. My business flourishes without me having to exhaust myself. And every Thursday – mid-week – I consciously take time for myself. My burnout-prevention day.
And perhaps the most beautiful part: I dare to do what I used to only dream of. Learning to dance. Skiing. Strength training. Travelling and discovering new things. Living the life I always wanted with German directness and Dutch warmth.
